As a Savannah-based wedding photographer, I’ve been lucky to capture so many love stories in this charming city, and Brooke and Chris’s wedding day was one for the books! From the historic elegance of the Harper Fowlkes House to the cozy vibe of Cha Bella, their special day was packed with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Right in the heart of Savannah, the Harper Fowlkes House set the stage for a truly beautiful day. Brooke got ready in the house’s dreamy bridal suite—a space that feels like something out of a fairytale. With its marble columns, antique furniture, and big windows filling the room with soft light, it was such a stunning spot to capture those pre-wedding moments. Every little detail, from her gorgeous gown from The Rack Medina to the whimsical florals, felt like we were in a European castle right in the heart of Georgia.
Their ceremony took place in the lush courtyard, surrounded by greenery and the timeless charm of Savannah’s historic architecture. Rented benches from Victorious Wedding and Design and florals the bride and her family arranged themselves added to the intimate, cozy feeling. With their closest friends and family watching, Brooke and Chris shared their vows. It was one of those moments that just made my job so easy—everything was so full of emotion and beauty.
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to Cha Bella to celebrate. If you haven’t been, this local Italian spot is a total gem! Their indoor-outdoor courtyard, covered in ivy and glowing with twinkle lights, created the perfect setting for dinner and dancing. And the food—oh my gosh, the food! Cha Bella is known for their incredible farm-to-table dishes, and they absolutely delivered. Brooke and Chris had a vegan menu, and it was absolutely delicious! From fresh, handmade pasta to mouthwatering desserts from Rum Runners Bakery, every bite was amazing.
The atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, with guests mingling under the stars and toasting to Brooke and Chris’s future. It’s moments like these—the laughter, the clinking glasses, the hugs—that make wedding photography so special.
One of my favorite things about Brooke and Chris’s wedding were the little personal details that made the day so unique to them. My favorite part was their two sweet pugs walking down the aisle at their ceremony! At the reception, the personalized table settings with sliced fruit and funky florals added such a warm, thoughtful vibe to the celebration. It’s those kinds of moments and details that truly tell a couple’s story, and I love being able to capture them.
Savannah is such a magical place to get married. Between its historic charm, beautiful architecture, and incredible venues like the Harper Fowlkes House and Cha Bella, it’s easy to see why so many couples choose this city for their big day. Whether you’re envisioning an elegant, traditional wedding or something more relaxed and intimate, Savannah has it all. Honestly, as a wedding photographer here, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty and character of this city.
